The gaim messenger screen will appear

 

it asks for creating a new account.



Select jabber from list in screen.In the screen name type your google id without &quot;@gmail.com&quot;



for e.g my id is newtrojan@gmail.com so i will write newtrojan only



in server field type gmail.com.

in the screen name box type your login name

 and in server box type gmail.com



then click advanced tab 

and type talk.google.com
